Short Links

Configure Your Custom Domain

The Custom Domains feature allows you to create and use custom domains or subdomains within our analytics app. This enables you to serve your tracking code and create short links with your own domain, enhancing your brand's visibility and control over your tracking URLs.

Setting Up a Custom Domain

Follow these steps to configure your custom domain:

1. Access the Settings Page

Login to the Fullres app and access the Settings Page.

2. Add Your Custom Domain

On the Settings page, enter your custom domain (this can be a top-level domain or a subdomain) in the Custom Domains section. For example, tracking.yourdomain.com.

3. Get CNAME Records

After entering your custom domain, the system will generate two sets of CNAME records. These records need to be added to your domain registrar or hosting provider's DNS settings.

4. Configure DNS

Log in to your domain registrar or hosting provider account and navigate to the DNS management section.

Add the provided CNAME records to your DNS configuration. Ensure that the CNAMEs are correctly pointing to the values given by the app.

Note that if you are adding a top-level domain, most hosting providers will not allow you to CNAME your top-level domain. As a workaround, you can enter an @ in the host field for the pub.fullres-custom.com. CNAME, like so:

5. Verification Process

Once the CNAMEs are added, please click the "I've done this" button on the Settings page in the Fullres app. Our app will also periodically check for proper configuration. When the DNS setup is confirmed, the status will change to Complete.

6. Start Using Your Custom Domain

Once your domain is verified, you can begin creating short links via the Short Links page using your custom domain and track clicks on those links directly within the app.

Notes

It may take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate fully. If the status remains incomplete, double-check your DNS settings and ensure the CNAMEs are configured correctly. Feel free to get in touch with us if you need assistance.
